Video: Herstellung von Notizbüchern

Letzten Mittwoch kam ein Newsletter von Field Notes, der mal wieder eine Sonderedition von Notizbüchern ankündigte. Auf der zugehörigen Internetseite fand ich dann ein sehr schönes vimeo Video, da die Herstellung der Field Notes Notizbücher zeigt. Das Video vermittelt detailliert, welche Schritte bei der Herstellung durchlaufen werden und wieviele Menschen, Maschinen und Arbeitsschritte für die Herstellung notwendig sind. Sehr schön und spannend anzusehen. Die Druckerpresse kommt übrigens aus Deutschland …

Papierherstellung in Japan

Bei Facebook gelesen: The 28th Handmade Papermaking Workshop. Der japanische Hersteller Awagami hat eine jahrhundertelange Tradition und ist weltberühmt:

The history of Awa washi dates back to 1300 years ago, […] Since the late 1700, the Fujimori family has kept the tradition of Awa Washi, Japanese papermaking. The papermaking of Washi was commercialized by Chozo Fujimori, the head of sixth generation, and it was passed onto Minoru Fujimori, the seventh generation leader of Awa Washi.

Wer von euch im August (12.-15.) in Japan ist, kann bei Awagami den 28th Handmade Papermaking Workshop mitmachen. Sicher etwas Besonderes:

At this workshop, the course will be covering basic traditional method of papermaking; preparing Kozo bark for cooking, cleaning, beating the fiber and papermaking to drying. This workshop is not only for the people who are already working closely with paper but also for any levels of people who have an interest how traditional papers are made and willing to have more knowledge about Japanese paper in general.

So wird ein Ledereinband für ein Notizbuch hergestellt
