In der Huffington Post las ich eben den Artikel Doctor Note-Taking Style Could Affect Patient Care: Study. Darin geht es um eine Studie, die zu belegen scheint, dass Ärzte, die sich Notizen machen, effektiver in der Behandlung sind:

[…] Research published in the Journal of the American Medical Informatics Association shows that doctors who take patient notes by dictating them give lower quality of care to their patients, compared with doctors who take notes via „structured documentation.“ […]

Im Abstract der Studie wird präzisiert, dass es bei den Notizen um elektronische Notizen geht:

[…] Physicians who more intensively interact with electronic health records (EHRs) through their documentation style may pay greater attention to coded fields and clinical decision support and thus may deliver higher quality care. […]

Nichtsdestotrotz ist die Studie wieder ein Beleg dafür, dass Notizen beim Selbststrukturieren helfen, v.a. wenn die Notizen selbst strukturiert erfasst werden.
