Eine ungewöhnliche Sichtweise auf das Notieren habe ich in Do You Have the Compulsion to Take Notes? gefunden: Notieren als Zwangsneurose. Die Autorin fragt sich, ob ihr „Drang“ zu notieren zwanghafte Züge hat. Sie schreibt sehr viel nieder und das in loser Form:
[…] I don’t have to push myself to take notes… I have to stop myself from taking too many notes. I use a very loose method of organization. For my major topics, such as “happiness” or “Churchill,” I keep a single, giant, dedicated document. I add all relevant notes there, along with subject tags so that I can find the note later. I also have a document called “Notes” where I keep notes that don’t belong in any particular place. […]
Wirklich strukturiert will sie ihre Notizen nicht, denn sie fürchtet, das könnte ihre Kreativität behindern.
Wie seht ihr das? Müsst ihr euch dazu zwingen, was zu notieren, oder müsst ihr euch eher dazu zwingen, nicht zu viel zu notieren? Ich kann für mich sagen, dass es weder-noch ist: ich notieren, wenn ich es für nötig halte und sonst nicht. Manchmal denke ich, dass ich was notieren sollte, damit ich es nicht vergesse (einen Gedanken, eine Idee, etc.), aber dann ist oft keine Gelegenheit zum Notieren und ich versuche das dann später nachzuholen. Zwang kann ich bei mir keinen erkennen.
