IPX-PRO Notebook Covers heißt das Kickstarter Projekt, bei dem man versucht, Gelder für die Produktion eines Metalleinbands als Wechseleinband für Notizbücher zu gewinnen:

[…] The problem we faced was having our notebooks, ideas, sketches, and pages continually getting winkled, bent, and warped as we carried them around with us everyday. We needed a truly protective cover that was sleek, strong, lightweight, interchangeable, and would effortless to keep all of our hard work straight without getting in the way. […]

Es geht also darum, Notizbücher vor Verschmutzung, Einreißen und anderen externen Einwirkungen zu schützen. Das Material ist auch kein gewöhnliches Metall:

[…] 5052 Aluminum-Magnesium alloy is know to have a high fatigue strength. It is highly corrosion resistance and is typically used in industrial applications. Including aircraft fuel tanks and fuel lines. Some people might think making a cover from this strong material is overkill, but we wanted these covers to be light, sturdy, and beautiful. […]

Und dazu gibt es auch noch das passende Notizbuch, auch wenn auf der Seite viele Marken aufgezählt werden, die in die Hülle passen. Insgesamt will das Projekt 50.000 USD einsammeln und zum Zeitpunkt, zu dem ich den Artikel schreibe, ist schon mehr als die Hälfte des Geldes zusammen.
