Bei For Print Only fand ich die schönen Grafolita Letterpress Notizbücher. Die Macherin Catarina Vaz schreibt über Grafolita:

[…] Grafolita is a small universe where paper, ink and color rule. A universe where big and medium size notebooks, narrow and wide, tall and short are handmade. All rising from the sheer taste for hands-on printing and type, traditional binding, and the simple pleasure of using handsome and functional handmade objects. 100% crafted by hand, the Grafolita Notebooks are letterpress printed, bound one by one, with great care for every detail. With thoughtfully chosen materials, these notebooks were conceived to be a warm and friendly company to those who sketch, write and keep. […]

[…] The Front and back covers are letterpress printed. With visible colored stitching on the spine, matching the color of the first and last interior sheets. […] 64 blank pages – Paper: 90g/m2, 100% recycled and acid-free, Ivory color; – Size: 10,5 x 15 cm (approx.) ; […]

By the end of 2004, we began our search in Lisbon, Portugal, for old printery houses. The idea was to create a notebook printed in letterpress, with moveable type, like Gutenberg did. Many traditional printeries had allready closed their doors, but we found one that helped us. Deep inside old drawers and cases (some of them allready half eatened by the woodworm), we found old lead and type ornaments, used decades ago to print invoices and business cards. On the first days of 2005 the first serrote notebook was born: a plain notebook, with a cover printed in two colors in letterpress and a blue paper on the inside. On the following years we expanded the notebook collection as we accepted comissioned work like cards, invitations and other notebooks. […]

This notebook was printed in two colors in letterpress in Lisbon, Portugal, in November 2009. Dimensions: 17cm x 11,5 cm (6,7 in x 4,5 in), Cover: white paper 250gr/m2. Bookblock: yellow ochre paper 80gr/m2; 80 pages; pattern printed in offset. Limited edition: 2000 copies
