Tagebuch für kreative Beobachtungen

Bei designmilk las ich über das experience journal von Hannah Yoon. Sie hat Ihre Idee über ein Kickstarter-Projekt finanziert, das schon abgeschlossen ist:

Beim Erfassen der kreativen Gedanken soll er der Raum in der Umgebung erfasst und beschrieben werden, in dem man den kreativen Gedanken hatte.

Auf ihrer Homepage seht ihr viele Fotos des Entstehungsprozesses für das Buch. Das passende Video gibt es bei vimeo, in dem ihr das Buch in Aktion seht. In einem tumblr Blog soll das Buch angepriesen werden.

Kickstarter-Projekt: Sketchy Notebook aus Taiwan

Auf das Kickstarter-Projekt SketchyNotebook wurde ich aufmerksam, weil @sketchynotebook mir auf Twitter folgte. Doch was hat es mit diesem Projekt auf sich? Wieder ein Notizbuch wie andere?

Das Buch fokussiert sich auf Zeichnungen und Entwürfe, die man nach dem Zeichnen aus dem Buch trennen will Es öffnet sich völlig plan und die Seiten lassen sich nach dem Zeichnen einfach raustrennen. Aber das Besondere sind Zeicheneinlage, die man hinter die Seite legt und die besondere Grundmuster als Lineatur hinter die Seite legen. Nun sind das nicht die üblichen Einlagen, sondern wirklich Muster oder Skizzeneinlagen für Webdesigner. Das Video zeigt euch, was damit gemeint ist. Kickstarter-Projekt: Miniaturbriefe und -päckchen

The World’s Smallest Post Service: DIY Activity Kit ist eine verrückte Idee für alle DIY Fans:

Es ist eine Zusammenstellung von Einzelteilen, mit denen ihr Minitaurbriefe und -päckchen zusammenstellen und verschenken könnt. Verschicken geht bei den kleinen Teilen sicher nicht. Wie klein die Elemente sind, könnt ihr im zugehörigen Video sehen. Das Projekt findet scheinbar Anklang, denn es hat sein Finanzierungsziel bereits erreicht.

Kickstarter-Projekt: Notizbuch mit Papier aus Stein

Auf der paperworld 2012 wurde ich zum ersten Mal auf Ogami aufmerksam, die mit grafisch schön gestalteten Notizbüchern auffielen. Das Besondere an den Büchern war aber das Papier: das war nämlich aus Stein! Steinpapier (Wikipedia) ist keine Erfindung von Ogami und so wundert es nicht, dass es auch in anderen Notizbüchern zum Einsatz kommt. Unter anderem auch in den Notizbüchern des Kickstarter-Projektes Da Vinci Notebook:

[…] Revolutionary new, eco-friendly notebooks & sketchbooks made from stone! Tree-free, bleach-free, and no water used in production! […] And in the spirit of incorporating true innovation like Da Vinci, the paper used in this amazing notebook does not use a single tree in its production! Auf der Seite wird das Steinpapier als die ökologischere Papierform angepriesen. Wikipedia meint zur Ökobilanz von Steinpapier:

Obwohl es nicht direkt biologisch abbaubar ist, zersetzt es sich unter UV-Einfluss z. B. durch Sonnenlicht im Laufe der Zeit.[…] Die Ökobilanz wird von verschiedenen Quellen unterschiedlich bewertet; größenordnungsmäßig wird bei der Herstellung von Steinpapier nur die Hälfte an Kohlendioxid freigesetzt und Energie benötigt.[8] Die Produktion von Steinpapier wird als wichtige nachhaltige Innovation in der regionalen Kreislaufwirtschaft angesehen.[9]

Ich fand das Ogami Papier zwar haptisch wirklich neu und interessant, aber die Zähigkeit beim Reißen und die gummiartige Oberflächenstruktur gaben kein gutes Gefühl. Ich habe es noch nie mit Füller beschrieben, was ein Problem sein dürfte, da es ja wasserresistent ist. Trotzdem spannende Geschichte, die schon dreifach überzeichnet ist – und es sind noch wenige Stunden bis zum Ende, falls ihr teilnehmen wollt.

Kickstarter-Projekt: gemeinsame analoge Erinnerungen auf Postkarten

A Memory Between Us – A postcard kit when you travel ist das richtige Kickstarter-Projekt für euch, wenn ihr mit einer Gefährtin / einem Gefährten auf Reisen seid und eure Eindrücke analog festhalten wollt:

[…] This postcard kit contains two sets of postcards, each of which is composed of 12 postcards with diverse prompts and designs. One set is for you to fill out and the other one is for your travel companion to do the same. The postcards in the two sets have the same template but by recording and capturing what each saw and felt separately, different content is generated, creating a unique opportunity to share both people’s thoughts and perspectives with each other.

Beide Reisepartner halten getrennt voneinander auf gleichen Postkartensätzen ihre Eindrücke fest. Die Postkarten werden dann getrennt voneinander nach Hause (also an einen selbst) oder eine dritte Person geschickt. Oder man tauscht sie am Ende der Reise. So entsteht „a memory between us“. Eine sehr romantische und poetische Art, die eigenen Gedanken zu teilen. Offline, analog, asynchron und mit Zeitverzug. Etwas, das bleibt. Kein Wunder, dass das Projekt jetzt schon 10-fach überzeichnet ist.

Der Drucker, der selbst fährt

Das Kickstarter-Projekt The Mini Mobile Robotic Printer macht zur Zeit in vielen Tech-Blogs die Runde. Kurz gesagt will das Projekt einen kleinen Druckroboter bauen, bei dem nicht der Drucker stillsteht und sich das Papier bewegt, sondern bei dem das Papier stillliegt und der Drucker darüberfährt:

Der Vorteil des Verfahrens: den kleinen Drucker kann man überall mit hinnehmen und die Papiergröße ist nicht beschränkt! Eine schöne Idee um digitale Dokumente in die analoge Welt zu bringen.

Kickstarter-Projekt: Notizbücher Furrow Books

Bei gourmetpens fand ich den Hinweis auf das Notizheft-Kickstarter-Projekt Furrow Books – Versatile Notebooks for Doers and Dreamers:

[…] Simple, clutter free, reliable, and versatile notebooks that allow you to use any ruling you’d like, anywhere within your notebook. […]

Das Wort Furrow bedeutet „(Acker)furche“ oder „Rille“. Der Name soll auch genau daran erinnern:

[…] Furrows are the shallow ditches/lines that you see in a farmer’s field. They typically serve two purposes: irrigation and planting seeds. We feel that our notebooks are similar to the idea of furrows because the lines created by the ruled insert cards serve to fulfill a specific and temporary purpose; once they’ve fulfilled that purpose, the lines go away and you’re left with a thriving field of ideas. […]

Es geht also darum, eine Karte hinter die zu beschreibende Seite zu legen, auf der die Lineatur aufgedruckt ist. Details dazu erfahrt ihr im obligatorischen Kickstarter-Video

Kickstarter-Projekt: Notizbuch für Fotografen und Filmemacher

Leser Tom schickte mir den Link auf das Kickstarter-Projekt ANALOGBOOK – The photographer’s notebook. Dort will Andrew Ranville Geld für ein NOtizbuch einsammeln, das Fotografen und Filmemacher beim Notieren unterstützt:

[…] Analogbook is a set of specially designed notebooks made specifically for professional photographers, artists, and photography students. […] Analogbooks provide the ability to easily record every piece of relevant photographic data. They help the professional archive a plethora of information that they can come back to at any time; whether it be navigating a long-term photographic project, or making a reprint in the darkroom that much simpler. They can help the photography student quickly learn the foundations of the craft, enabling technical self-assessment and a more efficient photographic practice. Finanziert werden die kostenlose Produktion und der Versand also durch einen Werbedruck auf der Rückseite der Fotos. Gegen Gebührt kann man die Werbung weglassen. Der Versand ist nur innerhalb der USA kostenlos. Nach Europa kostet es Geld, aber in Zukunft ist auch dort kostenloser Versand geplant.

Das Projekt ist schon locker finanziert, aber man kann noch mitmachen – auch um Werbung zu kaufen! Liebe Notizbuchhersteller, die ihr den amerikanischen Markt erobern wollt: hier ist eure Chance, mit einem frischen Produkt Werbung zu machen. Die Homepage tryflag.com ist noch recht leer und entspricht den Informationen auf der Kickstarter Seite.

Bin gespannt, wann die erste Notizbücher produziert werden, die man kostenlos bestellen kann und die dann auf jeder Seite / auf der Rückseite / im Vorsatz oder sonst irgendwo eine fette Werbung prangen haben. Oder gibt es das schon?

Pubslush – Lasst euer Buchprojekt von anderen Menschen finanzieren

Das sogenannte Crowdfunding ist eine beliebte Methode, um Geld für eigene Projekte einzusammeln. Die bekannteste Plattform für solche Projekte ist Kickstarter. Bei The Next Web las ich nun in Pubslush: Can the Kickstarter for books find its niche? von Pubslush. Das ist eine Crowdfunding Plattform wie Kickstarter, die sich allerdings auf Buchprojekte spezialisiert hat.

Falls also jemand von euch gerne schreibt und bisher nur in das eigene Notiz- oder Tagebuch geschrieben hat, kann er sich dort jetzt die notwendige Finanzierung für das eigene Buchprojekt besorgen.

Hat von euch jemand eine Idee, die er schon immer mal in ein Buch fassen wollte?
